Blue Light Laser Scanning

Our Creaform HandySCAN Black is a handheld, portable 3D scanner that our team of design to create digitize any project, of any size. With ultra-fast process of laser triangulation, we are able to create a 3D model of any physical object, instantly. The system is self-contained, fitting into a carry-on size container which allows us to travel to clients both domestic and international;. 

Some scanners only scan to a picture while our scanner is metrology-grade. With an accuracy of up to 0.02mm, 11 blue light lasers perform at a rate unmatched by another 3D laser scanning platform. Data collected is used for reverse engineering, CAD design, 3D inspection, and rapid prototyping, with files created in STL, 3MF, and OBJ; to name a few of the available exports. The scanner can detect the smallest detail on any object and exact in dimension. 

Native Software

Our 3D scanner is paired with its own native software in order to post process scan data, preparing it for its next use.

File Format

Data is initially exported as a mesh only, with assigned planes and features. From there it can be redrawn to CAD and exported as STEP, IGES, or XT.
