What is 3D Rendering?
3D rendering is the generation of photo-realistic images of an object into three-dimensional form. Rendering allows data points to be meshed together to create a realistic image that is correctly dimensional for further manipulation and design in computer aided drafting or to create digital assets. 3D rendering is used in numerous industries including game development, movie CGI, engineering, and artwork.
3D Scanning Services
To create a renderable model, data must be collected during the 3D scanning process. Tangent Solutions uses a blue-light laser scanner to create a mesh of datum points that must be rendered in order to create a 3D model that is fully functional meaning it can be moved, manipulated, and edited. Renderings are also a beautiful way just to showcase a model for conceptual purproses.
Before the post processing data from a 3D scan, the mesh that you see is a collection of data through triangulation, points collected during a scan through the blue light laser scanner in relation to the targets in reality. The mesh is a concept of the object but cannot be manipulated.
Render Your Data
Data gathered from the 3D scanner can be rendered and manipulated into our CAD software or any format required. Data can be put into 2D flat patterns as well.
The mesh that you see is a collection of data through triangulation. Data points are collected during the scan by the laser reflection as it scans by the targets in reality.
Renderings allow the data to become completely functional; cycled, flexed, etc. This process is not mandatory but is essential to collect datums and other precise measurements for CAD design. Models that are rendered are water-tight and are the closest digitial form of a physical product, that is ready to be manipulated in a CAD software.
