We have the ability to isolate essential data by 3D scanning. This speeds up file delivery and verifies you receive only what you need. In the reverse engineering process, CAD files area created for projects with manufacturing or cataloging purposes. Files are commonly delivering in STEP, XT, and IGES format.
3D scan data is cleaned up and post processed in order to create mesh files, STL and OBJ. During this process, holes can be filled in and erroneous data deleted without compromising the shape or structure of the original scan. All scan data must be post processed in order to deliver scan files as it must be exported from native software.
For projects requiring CAD files, we can reverse engineer scan data. This will also allow important data to be transferred by creating planes, sketches, and other volumetric shapes in post processing. Scan data accuracy is up to 0.02mm, validating that all scan data is to the upmost standard.
